In 1621, the Plymouth colonists and Wampanoag Indians shared an autumn harvest feast which is acknowledged today as one of the first Thanksgiving celebrations in the colonies.Did they have no-bake chocolate pumpkin pie? Probably not. However, I cannot imagine a Thanksgiving Day celebration without pumpkin pie. In fact, I had a couple of pieces last night in order to be ready for big day!
