Squeaky Wheel :: Take Two

I shared this tenet from Purple Curve Effect

Used it yesterday to get my $39.99 back from t-mobile... as their WiFi Hot Spots at the Starbucks in the Hilton Head Island/Bluffton area were acting flaky. After several attempts to get a refund over several days, I took a new approach.

I called when the service was once again dropping connections. I told support, as t-mobile had decided to waste my time, by not granting a refund so that I could switch to a local provider, that I would continue to call all weekend long (free wireless minutes) and report the trouble, and waste t-mobile's support talents (or lack thereof!) like they were wasting mine.

If I could not get any work done, why should they?

Well, after about an hour, they remotely reset the connection at Starbucks. And it failed to come back up! Guess what, maybe there was something wrong.

Refund granted.

Then read it!

P.S. It did take some extra calls, and a complaint to the BBB. But t-mobile did finally refund my money. But they took their sweet time about it. Guess they really do not understand customer service. --August 23, 2007
