Who fiddled at AIG

As a taxpayer, I gotta ask... What was management at AIG doing the whole time the financial market (that the Fed claims is the heart of the insurance business???) was showing significant signs of weakness? Waiting for a bail out? -ski P.S. Hey guys; time for a new slogan.
